Portia Perez started the year losing her Joshi Championship, but quickly found herself back on the right track. Perez dominated the Queen of Queens Tournament, forcing last year’s champion Daizee Haze to submit in the first round on her way to capturing the title. From there, Perez began to show her manipulating and calculating side as well. The second half of the year was dominated by impromptu Championship matches, with Perez choosing to defend her title after the random challenger was already down. But when push came to shove, Perez showcased just how dominate she can really be. Armed with Super Electro behind her, and the unwavering love of Robert Evans, Perez dominated the Joshi division this year. Summerlyn started the year by winning the ACW Joshi Championship from foe Portia Perez, in a match that was designed by Perez herself. After losing the championship in a different promotion, Rachel won back her title in Double Jeopardy. Elsewhere, the team of Bacon & Eggs, Rachel and Jessica’s Excellent Tag Team, became major players in the tag division. Rachel and Jessica held their own against established tag teams, and proved that they can hang with anyone. One of the original Joshis, is Rachel Summerlyn the 2010 Joshi of the Year?

At the 2010 Joshi Queen of Queens, Jessica James was viciously beaten and attacked by Portia Perez and crew immediately after her semifinal match. In that instant, something changed in Jessica. Her eyes grew cold and empty, enough to send chills throughout the crowd. Jessica was forced to dig deep inside her mind, and bring out her dark side: Lady Poison. For the rest of the year, when drastic times called, Jessica reached inside herself and found her mysterious and aggressive side in Lady Poison. Many have fallen victim to the Poison Kiss this year, and even more were afraid to be on Lady Poison’s bad side. The Joshi with split personality and a real kiss of death, is Jessica James the Joshi of the Year?

While still very new and very young, “Five Star” has no problem throwing herself right into the middle of the action, and refuses to back away from any challenge. Amanda Fox ended the year with a bang, eliminated former WWE Diva Serena Deeb in the main event of Delusions of our Childish Days. After spending her first year in ACW honing her craft, Amanda Fox truly is a force to be reckoned with for years ahead. In her rookie year, is Amanda Fox the 2010 Joshi of the Year?

Athena was able to hold her end of the deal, defeating Rachel Summerlyn to win the ACW Joshi Championship. While her reign was short-lived, Athena remained a powerful force in the Joshi division. Although her biggest rivalry of the year came from within her own team. Davey Vega took exception to Athena trying to win the belt he set his sights on, and the two bickered for months on end. Even under the watchful eye of babysitter Gary Jay, Vega and Athena were constantly at odds. Though they found times to work together, and found success in the ring.
